First of all thanks for everyone who came out to the meeting, or is watching this from home.
Last night we focused on cultivating Food sponsors for the Westside Invite. As some of you know, we are planning to have three free meals available for anyone who registers.
No one company will be able to provide us with that much food. So, we are faced with finding multiple eateries to donate what they can and have enough to cover the three days.
I think this can be done.
Everyone who was at the meeting is now on a quest to bring in one food sponsor. I invite everyone else to join in if you like. Have potential sponsors contact us at westsideinvite2009@gmail.com.
Recently we have received a few big sponsors, and the first round of fliers are about to come out.
New Belgium, thank you.
Raleigh USA, will be donating two Complete bikes to the winners of the Westside Invite.
Raleigh, thank you.
Also a SF messenger bag manufacture, Freight Baggage is in on the deal.
Freight Baggage, thank you.
Thanks again to:
Stumptown, Hooverville Bar, and the Dead Babies and everyone else for showing their support.
In the second half of the meeting we spoke about Fundraisers.
It seems that in the next Four months we will host three different fundraising events.
Money made at these events will go to the purchase of food, prizes, t-shirts, etc... for the Westside Invite 2009, Seattle WA.
The first event will be most likely the first weekend in march. It will be an alley cat.
The second event will be at the end of march, or early april. Possible Corndog Classic?
The third event will be a raging party/artshow/goldsprints/disco/last horrah before the Westside Invite decends apon us like a dark storm, washing us off the face of the earth.
We will be passing out fliers and promoting these events soon.
We also spoke about the race book and what it will have in it. Maps, specifices about different areas, local restauraunts, and photos were a few of the items that we came up with. In a few weeks the Thursday meeting will be based solely on the collection of the data to be stored in the book.
What would you like to see in a race book? Let me know.
Registration.
Registration will be all day friday before and after the Ladies only alleycat. Most likely we will start registration at around 9 or 10am at Mobius Cycle in Downtown Seattle. At some point registration might be moved to Hooverville Bar where we will can be ready to register people before and durring the Welcoming party.
Things are looking good for now, and everyone is welcome on thursdays to come to the meetings.
Thanks
Robert

My boss got the memo and he knows food. He knows restaurants. It's what he does. and I think he can hook it up or at least get it going with one or more food establishments. And I think Jimmy Johns should be on your list too for a food and invite the riders. word
